I don't know the answer to your question. But I do know that if you are new
to FreeBSD, you should *not* work with the current. The current is meant
only for the programmers who are working on the next version of FreeBSD.
The current changes every day, and may not even run on any particular day,
or have some serious bugs.

What you need is stable, not current.
