I just tried to burn the OpenIndiana live boot USB image to a new (only used once to install Fedora) USB flash drive. The result was not good. Not only did the flash drive not boot but now nothing seems to recognize it. dmesg says umass0 on uhub5 umass0: <Phison USB DISK 53X, class 0/0, rev 2.10/1.10, addr 2> on usbus3 umass0: SCSI over Bulk-Only; quirks = 0x8101 umass0:6:0: Attached to scbus6 da0 at umass-sim0 bus 0 scbus6 target 0 lun 0 da0: <13FE USB DISK 50X PMAP> Removable Direct Access SPC-2 SCSI device da0: Serial Number da0: 40.000MB/s transfers da0: Attempt to query device size failed: NOT READY, Medium not present da0: quirks=0x3<NO_SYNC_CACHE,NO_6_BYTE> retrying dd says paulf> sudo dd if=OI-hipster-gui-20230502.iso of=/dev/da0 bs=1M dd: /dev/da0: Device not configured I also quickly tried Windows macOS and Fedora and none of them sees the flash drive. So it looks like it's bricked. A+ Paul
