On a system built from source, you'ld want either: /usr/lib/debug/boot/kernel/kernel.debug or /usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC/kernel.debug but you don't have either of those when using a -RELEASE kernel IIRC. Well, certainly not the last one. Failing that, I'm afraid that I do not know how you're meant to be able to get a decent backtrace out of a RELEASE kernel.
