The problem is this, when I startx most of the time it works fine, and I am happy. However sometimes enlightenment hangs on the startup. At first I thought it was the fact that I was using 5.0 of Freebsd, so I wend down to 4.8 (because NVIDIA doesn't support 5.0 officially and the documentation nvidia provides says you need to add options USER_LDT to the kernel.) However, this was not the case, XFREE still crashes with enlightenment. I do not know why. In another possibly related problem, I cannot use xawtv (only fxtv) because it supposedly cannot find libGL. Now, without the NVIDIA drivers and just the nv drivers, xawtv runs, but I know get garbage on the screen and a brtr sigalarm. does anyone have any idea what is going on? Paul
