I attempted to debug it using gdb with a breakpoint on TVSCREENInit, but gdb ignores this breakpoint and still freezes after failing to use DGA. Prior to upgrading to FreeBSD 6.1-PRERELEASE, I was using FreeBSD 5.4-p11 and fxtv would carry over to using XImages with no freezing or crashing. With FreeBSD 6.1-PRERELEASE, it never even seems to get to the point where it'll try to use XImages, it freezes and reboots instead. I've attempted rebuilding fxtv, as well as all the other ports I had installed after upgrading from 5.4 to 6.1, but that did not help. >How-To-Repeat: Install multimedia/fxtv and try to run it in X.org without being able to use DGA extensions. fxtv spits out 2 messages, which I can't get, because my system freezes and reboots before I am able to do so. The messages have to do with fxtv being unable to use DGA. X.org is being run by kdm and I am logged into kdm with a non-root user. >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted:
