STOP. The new rdist is incompatible with the old rdist. The way the new rdist "maintains" compatibility is by execing the old rdist binary. Be REALLY careful what you do here. If you all of a sudden make us incompatible with every non-FreeBSD machine out there, I will visit you with a chain-saw. It is possible to have "both" rdists, but you need to think about how you're going to do that. Paul From: "Jordan K. Hubbard" Subject: Re: cvs commit: src/usr.sbin/sendmail/src daemon.c deliver.c readcf. >>c Once you finish sendmail, could I possibly talk you into doing rdist? The FreeBSD patches are in ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/incoming/rdist* as well as a pointer to the current sources (6.1.0?) from uci.edu. Jordan
