Hi,

I am trying to install FreeBSD 4.2. PC configuration
is
Pentium 60, 8 MB ram, 630 MB hard disk.
When I am trying to boot using install disks
(kern.flp),
it is not able to boot properly and shows some errors.

As suggested by you Erik, I also tried boot floppies
from
FreeBSD 4.1.1, FreeBSD 3.5.1, FreeBSD 3.2 and FreeBSD
3.0.
None of the boot floppy from above releases is able to

boot properly.

I have PicoBSD 0.41 floppy and PicoBSD boots and works
well.
PicoBSD shows that it is based on FreeBSD 3.0.

If PicoBSD can boot then why not installation boot
program
can boot? Do I require to change some setting in BIOS?

Following is screen output I can see when booting with

FreeBSD 4.2 & FreeBSD 3.2.

With kern.flp (4.2) -

After 10 seconds it tries to load kernel and then

With kern.flp (3.2) -

press
ctrl-alt-del it shows following lines:
