I did just open a PR for it.  I've got a couple weeks of it now on a
couple systems, so it seems as good as anything else.  For me, anyway.
Whether it's something people would actually want to land may be
another question.  I've compile tested it against 11.x, but don't have
any systems to try running it, so who knows what might happen there.
