You must read more than just that one page. At the bottom of that page there is a 'next' link. Follow it as well. dos is synonymous with win95 in this discussion. In a nutshell: To install with dos and freebsd on one disk you must have a seperate partition available for both dos and freebsd. When you do the install by booting with the boot floppy you then choose where on your disk freebsd will go. You put freebsd on the partition that does not have dos on it. If you try to put freebsd into the partition where dos is, you will loose all of your dos info. FreeBSD will be on one partition. Dos will be on the other. When you boot, you will be given a choice of which one you want to use. Read all of this as well. http://www.freebsd.org/FAQ/FAQ20.html#20 http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/handbook19.html#21 You simply cannot use unix with zero experience, if you do not like to read. Reading is mandatory. I had exactly zero unix experience when I first installed FreeBSD one year ago. If I can do it, then you can do it also. Have fun, | Stop warning me about the latest virus.
