I recently installed a PC133 256MB DIMM on the thing to try and help out, but that's not it. It's got an IDE drive for Solaris (sloooo...) and an 8ms/7200 9GB SCSI drive for FreeBSD that is no faster. Controller is a 2940. Video card is a (theoretically) smoking NVIDIA TNT2, and should certainly have NO bearing whatsoever on compile performance .... > > Any ideas why this machine might be tanking so bad?? it's quite sad, really ... :( > > > thanks! > > marc. > > > > > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
