Hmm, I can't see why a __EXTENSIONS__ (like Solaris has) would break posix=20 confirming programms. But, it would help for eg. autoconf third-party apps=20 which set POSIX_C_SOURCE. Instead of changing other peoples code, I just=20 could do: setenv CFLAGS "-D__EXTENSIONS__=3D1" ./configure It would be only a little change to sys/cdefs.h and wouldn't break = anything.
