The original google-earth port did all of that.  It put the rpm files under
LINUXBASE, but it put the script from the files/ directory in PREFIX/bin and
icons and a desktop file were put in PREFIX/share.  See

 You can also look at the post-install scriptlet in the rpm using "rpm -qp
--scripts google-earth-pro-stable-7.3.6.x86_64.rpm", but that contains a lo=

irrelevant things.
