You can run BETA version of 1.2 on FreeBSD under Linux emulation or compile your own ALPHA version from the source code. The latter is slower than snot - but it works for server side Java, and it is what I use. It is quite unfortunate that FreeBSD is so far behind with this key technology. If only Sun (or IBM) would release a FreeBSD port.
