The value of "service" is STRING, not NUMBERS. And we can also use service name, such as "pop3". e.g. the below is typical .fetchmailrc poll localhost proto APOP port 1234 password PASS However, --enable-inet6 uesrs, even if they use IPv4 connection, must rewite the configuration as follows: poll localhost proto APOP service "1234" password PASS these patches make fetchmail upper-compatible. now IPv6-enable fetchmail can hadnle "port" keyword.
