yes, since the same phenomenon occurs with local files.

I think the problem is that they mis-handle the sync info (GETOPTR)
from the audio driver. I had a temporary (see misc/linux_ioctl.c in my
snd98xxxx.tgz) consisting in telling the app that the audio was a
little bit ahead.
