Well, given the feedback I've gotten I'd imagine it does work quite well 
now :)  I don't think I've tried it out in probably at least a year, but I 
just remember them having been broken for a very long time.  Now I know 
what to get if I get a soundcard other than the crappy SB Live Value that 
I have right now (which is supposed to be able to do digital output with a 
little daughterboard that I purchased... and does, but likes to cut out 
for no apparent reason here and there even in windows).
