I have a new machine here, with 3com 3C905B-TX cards in it. I boot it up with the 2.2.5-RELEASE boot disc, and the cards are not recognized. From what I understand the 3C905 cards should be supported. I looked in the sources and found in if_vx_pci.c in the vx_pci_probe routine that the device_id of this card was not there, so I added it, recompiled the kernel, and rebooted. The card is now probed, but when i try to assign an IP-address to the vx0 interface using ifconfig, the machine locks up. So now I don't know what do.. Any suggestions? /Jakob Alvermark ------------------------------------------------------- Teligent AB, P.O.
