I too like such deceptions :) However, if pkg is a file that records a hash, the hash must be updated. It is the -r or --recompute option of pkg-check(8). If the hashes are not matched, it will be a file that will not be deleted during deinstallation. This is for those who have messed up under /usr/local :) Regards.
