Ok, so I'm afraid you cannot disconnect single partition from it. This is one of the reasons I prefer mirroring every partition separetly. Actually changing configuration from whole-disk-mirror to per-partition-mirrors is possible even remotly, but it's quite risky, so I won't recommend it... Not sure what else can I suggest.
