You replied to it and got a new PR opened. It's the fault of that person, not you or GNATS. As we keep saying, "don't send PRs to anybody but gnats-submit", 'cause it causes new PRs to be opened left and right. (There really is nothing GNATS can do about it because the mail goes out to you before it even sees it....)
