I think the device you need to use is either /dev/cuaa0 (COM1)
or /dev/cuaa1 (COM2). FWIW, the "officially correct" place to
ask technical questions of this nature is the freebsd-questions
rather than freebsd-newbies so I've posted to both lists so I don't
than incur the wrath of various experts :)
