In case you don't, please grab the latest port (tree) to avoid
out-of-date Q&A's.

You don't need to do that.  Actually, you need to do nothing if you
successfully installed the vmware2 port.

Don't you see /compat/linux/dev/tty4?  Too weird.  I might dare
presume you don't have /compat at all.

When the port/package installation is done, a message that asks you to
refer to the docs installed under `${PREFIX}/share/doc/vmare/' should
have appeared.  I think you missed it.
