Hi! pere> I'm trying to install RedHat 5.0 on a ASUS P2B-DS motherboard. My pere> problem is that RedHat don't recognise the aic 7890 scsi controller. My pere> question is: Where can I find a driver or a boot disk that recognise pere> the controller and allow me to install linux? I have the same problem, just using Debian GNU/Linux and a home built 2.1.106 kernel. Support for the AIC 7890 is not there, yet. Without true belief in any success, I've put some lines in the aic7xxx code and pci.h. It recognized the adapter (pci vendor/device: 9005/001f), read the seeprom, told some lines about settings and tried to upload sequencer code. Then it got stuck. It got `Sequencer Ram Parity Error's (??) . No wonder, since I don't have any specs or knowledge about the aic driver. :-/ If I could help in development for the AIC 7890 support with my limited knowledge about the aic7xxx project, let me know.
