Hello, There was a security advisory a while back that BIND versions prior to 8.2.3-REL has a security flaw and all users are recommended to upgrade. So, I cvsup'ed to the latest 4.x STABLE sources, then went to /usr/src/contrib/bind, and then issued a make command. After running for few minutes, make stops with an error: . . . [MAKE COMPILES FINE...] . . : ../../lib/libbind.a cd: can't cd to bsd *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/src/contrib/bind/lib. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/src/contrib/bind. By the way, I use the BIND that comes with FreeBSD, not the one from ports. That's why I am trying to build this version of BIND. Is this the right way to compile BIND, or I don't know how to? If you know why make stops as well, please try to help. Thanks in advance. Noor p.s.: Please CC me on your replies.
