Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-current@freebsd.org X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk There is no way Freebsd can support ip masquerading is there. I think that's what I need, unless someone else can help me. I have a lan, not much of one, just a win95 box connected to my freebsd box via ether. I did an 'ifconfig vx0 192.168.1.1' on my unix ether, and a I gave my 95 box an addresss of 192.168.1.2, and a gateway for 192.168.1.1 . I can telnet from 95 to fbsd(when I ftp tho, the link sorta dies, I still have link lights, I just loose the connection, no big deal) but I can't get out to the internet from my 95 box. Also, I only have one IP from my ISP. So I assume I need to 'masquerade'. Does anyone have any ideas on this ... I need to get this to work, I don't want to have to run linux :D Thanks!
