/usr/src/contrib/gcc (on FreeBSD 3.4, probably something similar on 4.0) This is gcc 2.7.2.3 (on 3.4) and gcc 2.95.2 (on 4.0). You can also get it from gcc.gnu.org, their tarball will compile on lots of platforms and is used by most free software. The "compile" directory is where you do your kernel compilation. It doesn't contain anything until you configure for your kernel.
