If you need to stabilize your machine for the time being: see cvsup(1) for a description of how to specify an absolute date and back up your sources to *default date=97.12.23.00.00.00 I've been using that -current to burn-in test an SMP machine (which happily rebuilt the world and xemacs20 concurrently for days on end.) [Kudos to Steve Passe and all of the SMP contributors by the way - I was very impressed with SMP.
