I was fighting for a couple of days trying to connect to my home router from a
fresh FreeBSD box. Was getting an infinite loop of this:

Jun 3 12:40:22 famagusta wpa_supplicant[14564]: wlan0:
CTRL-EVENT-SSID-REENABLED id=0 ssid="Serendipity"
Jun 3 12:40:22 famagusta wpa_supplicant[14564]: wlan0: Trying to associate

The machine is a PC-BSD based on 11-CURRENT on a ThinkPad T520 with iwn0:
<Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205>.

"Serendipity" is an ASUS RT-16N home device configured for "WPA-Auto-Personal"
and "TKIP+AES". It supports 802.11n mode.

There is also a router setting called "Bandwidth" with two options: "40 MHz"
and "20 MHz". It was set to 40 and changing it to 20 resolved all problems.
