I hadn't noticed this thread was on -hackers, instead of -chat... ) I think there is little argument in saying that Linux is better now because Noorda sells it. Anyway (and this is just IMO), Linux's GPL makes it unsuitable for a _real_ commercial product because it is literally impossible to offer added value software at a low level (which is what commercial OS's do).
