I have Troubles accessing my Iomega 250 QIC Streamer. I have modified and compiled the Kernel to support the Streamer as described in the FAQ. The Streamer was detected successfully at System-Startup. My problem is, that if= i want to access the Streamer througt "mt" i always get back the message:= Device not configured. Other Programs like tar or cpio are accessing the streamer for a short while and then they are stopping work. The only Program i can use without any Problems are "ft". I know, that the Streamer isn=B4t damaged because i can use it under DOS= with the Central Point Backup Tool. My System Configuration: FreeBSD 2.2.6-RELEASE Asus 486SV1 EISA Mainboard Adaptec AHA-2740T Controller (Tape-Drive is connect to the Floppy controller= on this card) IoMega QIC Streamer 250 With hope of response...
