Hello, AFAIK in 4.#(.#) releases, /var/db/dhclient.leases also has the current IP in a block format: eg: lease { interface "de0"; fixed-address X.X.X.X; on and on ... } NOTE: When a new address is assigned it is "appended" to the end of the leases file.
