Hi, I'm trying to set up a plip connection. Both systems are running 5.1-BETA1 and the remote end (10.0.0.2) was booted from the install floppies. Here on the other end (10.0.0.1) I get this error; root@kundera:~# ifconfig lp0 lp0: flags=8815<UP,DEBUG,POINTOPOINT,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500 root@kundera:~# ifconfig lp0 10.0.0.1 10.0.0.2 ifconfig: ioctl (SIOCAIFADDR): Invalid argument What does that mean? It seems to work with the install floppies (no error message) (DEBUG: ifconfig lp0 inet 10.0.0.2 10.0.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0) Any help is welcome. -- Giovanni P. Tirloni http://www.tirloni.org
