I don't use ppp, so let's get rid of /etc/ppp bouvier# rm -rf /etc/ppp (theoretically this should have freed 6 or 7 inodes, right?) bouvier# touch /test /: create/symlink failed, no inodes free touch: /test: No space left on device this is FreeBSD 2.1-STABLE (BOUVIER) #0: Fri May 17 00:53:48 PDT 1996 ...Any insight would be appreciated . and rebooting the system -did not- fix the problem.
