Sorry, but that's what the FreeBSD-questions list is for :) I did Google it, but turned up no such luck. And I completely understand the ache :) If it's something that's been covered so many times, maybe it's something that needs to be better handled (detected, reported) by the OS in the first instance. I'll be off now to check it out.
