	I've seen machines like that... mega high $$$ from my point of view.

	Shouldn't be, aside from some possible hardware configuration.  I know that
some older Compaqs generally have to have some settings tweaked to make
FreeBSD's SMP implementation work properly, but it's not rocket science.
