Nothing to do with the Linux crowd ;-),
it's just that 5.1-RELEASE was what,
October?  And it's an "experimental" or
at least "New Technology" (~'beta'?)
release ... so you really should try and
stay up to date as much as possible
to see if the issues you are having
have been resolved.
