Warner Losh p=ED=B9e v so 12. 11. 2005 v 10:35 -0700: [major snip] Is this obscuring really needed? The email address will get copied to the commit log, which got stored on our website, on FreshPorts, gets mailed to mailing list, from there it goes to a dozen of web archive sites and also gets to the newsgroup. Hell, even PR copies are being posted on usenet, raw, and unobscured. They also go to freebsd-bugs mailing list, again with an web archive online. If one whiner whines about his email address displayed on project website, then he should be told to not submit at all. Or to use private mail to an interested committer instead. The loss would be minimal. Are we going to extend this email address hiding to all other places? That would lead to an inability to contact originator of a given change/feature/new port. That would be a major problem for the project. So please reconsider. --=20 Pav Lucistnik Stupidity got us into this mess -- why can't it get us out? --=-AKmK9sW+nVAwTt1Pn0T/ Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: Toto je =?iso-8859-2?Q?digit=E1ln=EC?= =?ISO-8859-1?Q?_podepsan=E1?= =?iso-8859-2?Q?_=E8=E1st?= =?ISO-8859-1?Q?_zpr=E1vy?= -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBDdirBntdYP8FOsoIRAmOTAJ9Thrb+DRiK85KsGBrz164AK+ElawCfT/S3 AoFK/lh3RV6nwjRNSR+qp8Y= =1LMm -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-AKmK9sW+nVAwTt1Pn0T/--
