This system should be platform independent to allow product development to take place on Unix, Windows 9x or NT, or Linux. Additionally this system will need to interface with the call tracking and incident tracking system(s) being used by Tech. Support. This system should also effectively meet the intent of the (to be created) single engineering process and the product life cycle. Once this system is defined, the source code control manager will be responsible for managing the implementation and conversion team. After implementation, the source code control manager will be responsible for the configuration management system's "fitness for use" by continuously monitoring usage and actively collecting feedback on the use of the system to improve its effectiveness and efficiency.
