I just built an inexpensive multi-media system for my kids and found
that an equivilent Intel Pentium III system to be about $150.00 cheaper
than an Athlon. The motherboards are more expensive and the vendors
at the computer fair were not pushing Athlon at all. I wanted to
buy an Athlon but could not see paying a premium for it.
