I updated to the latest 4.2-stable from 4.2-stable (no reason, just playing with cvsup GUI) and intended to make world and rebuild kernel. The UPDATING file prescribes: make buildworld make buildkernel ... make installkernel ... reboot make installorld etc but when I typed 'make buildkernel' one of the first messages I got was: Don't forget to do 'make depened' So my question is: do I make depend or not, and if yes, where does it fit in the above scheme?
