I've modified my kernel as described in http://www.freebsd.org/handbook/sound.html, and my card gets probed during reboot, but no /dev/sndstat gets created. I'm at a bit of a loss. Any advice or instruction would be appreciated. uname -a Here's what I added to my kernel: # Messing with Sound; I have a Vibra16 device pcm device sbc0 at isa? port 0x220 irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x15 Here's what dmesg give me: sbc0: at port 0x220-0x22f irq 5 drq 1 flags 0x15 on isa0 sbc0: alloc_resource device_probe_and_attach: sbc0 attach returned 6 Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------- Get your free email from AltaVista at http://altavista.iname.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
