Yes it is, and it should be for alpha. alpha works because of this hack: #ifdef __alpha__ #define DMAADDR(dma, o) (alpha_XXX_dmamap((vm_offset_t) *(dma) + (o))) #else #define DMAADDR(dma, o) (vtophys(*(dma) + (o))) #endif But as a result alpha can only support limited amounts of physical memory (1 or 2G max depending on the system I think).
