>Number: 65408 >Category: ports >Synopsis: patch to shorten 133 DESCR files >Confidential: no >Severity: non-critical >Priority: low >Responsible: freebsd-ports-bugs >State: open >Quarter: >Keywords: >Date-Required: >Class: change-request >Submitter-Id: current-users >Arrival-Date: Sat Apr 10 13:00:37 PDT 2004 >Closed-Date: >Last-Modified: >Originator: Trevor Johnson >Release: >Organization: >Environment: ports collection as of 2004-04-08, around 9:00 UTC >Description: I ran "portlint -act" on all ports and edited many DESCR files to conform to its suggested format of no more than 24 lines, no more than 80 columns, no leading or trailing blank lines, and a newline at the end of the file. I also made other miscellaneous edits when I noticed something that could be improved. Some of the edited files are less readable or less informative than the originals. Maintainers who object to this can just follow up to this PR saying so (a list of the ports to be left alone would be helpful).
