To further explain, I do agree with a considerable part of what you say, 
and understand/approve your motives, but personally, I'm mostly 
surrendering to this. I have no objection to your fight, if it pleases 
you more, in general. For conky in particular, I'm open to suggestions, 
I really have no idea how to avoid the pandoc dependency without 
removing the man page from the package.
