I submitted a medium priority PR (kern/8383) three weeks ago. A patch was included. No one has taken any action on it yet. In a nutshell: >Category: kern >Responsible: freebsd-bugs >Synopsis: msdosfs wipes out NT VFAT lower case flags >Arrival-Date: Tue Oct 20 09:00:00 PDT 1998 Since msdosfs is destroying directory information, I think that this is serious enough that someone should have a look. Could someone please do so? It would be really nice if this could make it into -stable in time for 2.2.8-R. I have been running 2.2.7-R with the patch since 10/13/98. P.S. The good news (other than that a patch was included) is that the directory information that is being destroyed is non-critical.
