Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Hope the subject is ok. What puzzles me most is, that it works ok for root. When uzs106 calls netscape (linux netscape 4.7.2 of the 4.0 R Walnut Creek CDs), it hangs for a minute of so, when the modem isnt connected. The IP6 things in MYKERNEL are disabled. No problems with lynx. Netscape http://localhost or netscape ./file.html. The OS is 4.0 R. Is there some known bug that I have overlooked ? I think this strange netscaping wasnt there from the beginning. It started after recompiling KERNEL for a new CPU (PII), or after I had installed Netscape 6 (which was deinstalled very quickly, ugly and slow..) Thanks. H.
