Any IDE/EIDE controller will work, as *long* as you make sure FreeBSD's
root partition starts/end below the 512MB mark.

I'm running a 1Gig EIDE controller in the Asus box next to me and it
works great, as long as I don't use the EIDE features (FreeBSD doesn't
support them anyways).
