But the client worked for me both for 2.2.6 and for 2.3.0 and also
for 2.3.0.3
I remember that I had problems with serverside when tryed to install
2.2.6.5 on SunOS. Try to use 2.3.0.

And can you send me an autput from 
amcheck akl
and also /tmp/amandad.debug
and other files that you can find in /tmp
after your run.
