First post to this list. Was directed here from FreeBSD Forums. I'm trying to get FreeBSD running on a FitPC2. The install of 8.2 Release failed to even complete when it found the network. I downloaded 9.0-RC and installed it, and was delighted when the new installer worked perfectly and the install recognized the RealTek hardware and assigned re0 to it. I can ping the system at it's assigned address (192.168.0.25 netmask 255.255.255.0, default router and nameserver are both 192.168.0.1, which is working with my other two FreeBSD machines). However, if I try to do anything at all to another address (like, say, the default router at 192.168.0.1), I get "re0: watchdog timeout". When I look at dmesg, it shows that every time I do anything involving another address, the network goes down, the watchdog message occurs, and then the network comes back up again. I have heard that at least one other user has gotten the FitPC2 to work with the re driver, so, at least in theory, it should work. Question is how? Any advice deeply appreciated! -Lyman
