Sometimes applications (XMMS) crash and i cannot get them to reopen without
a reboot.  I have tried logging off and back in to KDE, but that doesn't
help.  What do i do to make crashed apps reopen.

When i try to reopen them i get the loading icon and panel block, but then
after a while (longer than it takes to open the app) both go away
completely.
